A group of latin american scientists and health professional devoted to the study of growth and development (G&D) of children from local population groups living in different countries of latin america have been recently constituted. Professor Horacio Lejarraga earns the Premio Reina Sofia

On December 24th, 2014, Professor Horacio Lejarraga, from the University of Buenos Aires and Secretary General of ISGA, was awarded the Premio Reina Sofia, by the Real Patronato sobre Discapacidad from Spain, for contribution for more than ten years to the prevention of disability in children. The award will be given by the Queen of Spain at the Palacio Real, Madrid in April 2015.

Professor Noel Cameron receives the James Tanner Memorial Medal by the Society for the Study of Human Biology

On December 10th 2014, Professor Noel Cameron, from the Univeristy of Loughborough, UK, and - member of our ISGA Executive Committee, was awarded the James Tanner Memorial Medal by the Society for the Study of Human Biology (SSHB) for Services to Human Biology. He is the first recipient and the Medal was awarded at the SSHB Symposium in Oxford, UK, where he gave a lecture.
